The mark is a letter, because the point was never the software.
Yuvo exists so games actually happen. The star is the moment one does — and it lives inside the word, not beside it.
One shape, two readings
Neither fights the other, and that is what makes it ours. A star in a circle is a stock icon anyone can use. A star in a circle that is also a letter of our name is not — and it is the reason the mark can leave the word for an app icon and still be the same thing.
Built to survive being small
Most of the time you will meet this mark at 16 pixels, in a browser tab or on a home screen. It is drawn as solid mass with a single knockout, so it thins out gracefully instead of breaking.
Colour
Two greens doing two different jobs. Keeping them separate is what stops the interface shouting at you.
Navigation, dark surfaces, the mark itself. Pine is structure. It never means anything on its own.
A slot is open. A booking is confirmed. LED earns attention, so it is used sparingly and as a fill only — never as text on white, where it fails contrast at 1.78:1.
Body copy and headings. Near-black with a green bias so it sits with the rest of the palette instead of against it.
Using the mark
- Do: Give the wordmark clear space on all four sides equal to the width of its disc.
- Do: Use pine on light surfaces and LED on pine or photography.
- Do: Use the wordmark wherever there is width; use the disc alone only where the slot is square — an app icon, a favicon, an avatar.
- Do: Let the star knock through to whatever is behind it. That is how it is built.
- Do not: Do not put the mark inside a box, ring or badge. It already has its own shape.
- Do not: Do not recolour it, add a gradient, or outline it.
- Do not: Do not stretch it. The disc has to stay a circle — distorted, the letter stops reading as one.
- Do not: Do not set the wordmark as live text. It is drawn as outlines so it never depends on a font loading.
